I was thinking of 9/11 and how some were spared that day, not because he told them the planes were coming but because they followed Him away from there that day...had He just said planes are going to crash into your building and kill thousands they would most likely have thought...that's not possible, where did that crazy thought come from...

I have often wondered, how many did He speak to that day that could not recognize His voice and dismissed his leading because of their routine or their commitments..

I think that if human beings had too much information then they would be rendered less able to prepare and to lead others. Knowing the truth about the past or the present is safer of course.

Totally agree...we do like to be in control don't we? I told my class some years ago...if God told us too much we would say, 'Ok God, I got this!" We do it now with the limited amount He gives us...Take, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel'..we take that and say, I got this! and God says, 'Hmmm...Ok...show me how it's done...'. And the result is really pretty churches that re really busy...and have no power..

I was "born and raised" on basic Word of Faith ala Kenneth Hagin Sr and early Pentecostals on faith for healing so I like to believe God and have or find the understanding I need for walking according to that. I love the verse that talks about "righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit". A lot of prophecies about the future seem to foster everything else than the latter two.

I'm not a "true believer" in almost anything. But it is my opinion that the conspiracy theories about 9/11 that you refer to (and variations) are extremely improbable.

I only referred to the 28 pages of redacted (secret) findings. That is not a "conspiracy theory".

For what it's worth, John, I find this version BY FAR, much more believable than the "official" version that's been peddled since it happened. There had to be MUCH more going on than what they've wanted people to believe.

9-11 did move most of the church into fear and oppression, evil is still having it's way.
