CNN fires Kathy Griffin over gory Trump pics

-Kathy Griffin will not be back as co-host of CNN's annual New Year's Eve program, the network announced Wednesday.CNN's decision comes one day after photos were released of Griffin that showed the comedian holding up a bloody head resembling that of President Donald Trump.

"CNN has terminated our agreement with Kathy Griffin to appear on our New Year's Eve program," the network said in a statement.

Griffin has apologized for the photos, taken by provocative celebrity photographer Tyler Shields.

"I beg for your forgiveness. I went too far," she said in a video posted to Instagram late Tuesday. "I made a mistake and I was wrong."

...On Tuesday night, a CNN spokesperson called the photos "disgusting and offensive."

Cooper said he was "appalled by the photo shoot."

"It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate," he wrote on Twitter.

Shields, who is known for his envelope-pushing images, released the photos on Tuesday morning and swiftly came under fire by people on social media...

She hasn't apologised to the President and his family

    What about the sick photographer?

She did issue an apology..not directly to the President though..just a general, 'This was really bad, sorry...' type. And the photographer was as much as fault from what I read as it was somewhat HIS idea?

Her apology means nothing when you watch the video of her and the photographer talking and saying that they knew it was not good and going to bring them trouble.

Right...and seems like the apology was brought about because the public reactions were not what she expected. Kind of surprised that CNN did fire her tho...good for them.

"I had a dream the other night that I was playing golf with Donald Trump," the 55-year-old comedian volunteered. "I was standing beside him with a club in my hand and I was considering my options when I suddenly woke up. It was one of those dreams where you want to go back to sleep so you can finish it, you know? But I've taken up golf anyway."

Jim Carrey defends Kathy Griffin: 'Comedians are last voice of truth'

So, if 'comedians are the last voice of truth', shouldn't it at least be comedy? Not violent images of murder?

I have never found comedians who joke about violence or gross immorality funny...pretty sure God doesn't either...I saw something years ago and suddenly sensed the Lord asking me, I am there with you...what do you think MY response would be to this? Scripture tells us..sadly the culture we live in has become significantly reprobate...apart from a sweeping move of God I don't see that changing...only getting worse...

Joking around with violence is one thing, personal violence is far worse. Even directed at Kim Jong-Un it wouldn't be funny. At least he is a murderer and does deserve death.

And yet another contender for the numb skull of the week award.

"Heartless hatemonger Rosie O'Donell, the repeatedly fired liberal TV big mouth, is now happily attacking 11-year-old Barron Trump for being alarmed by media photos of "comic" Kathy Griffin holding what looks like the bloody, severed head of his father.

After Griffin posted her very unfunny and widely panned "comedy" photo showing her, terrorist-like, holding the president's bloody, severed head, some outlets began reporting that the president's 11-year-old son, Barron, had seen the disturbing image on TV and went running to his mom alarmed that something happened to his father.

TMZ reported that Barron was home watching TV when a news program began to discuss the "comic's" controversial photo shoot.

But the fright of a small child worried over the life of his father didn't make any impression on loud-mouth O'Donnell. Indeed, she saw the boy's fright as the perfect reason to use him for her own political agenda.

O'Donnell jumped to Twitter to scoff at the boy's emotional turmoil, Twitchy reported."

She seems sincere. Who knows. Glad she apologized though.
