Tullian Tchividjian Accepts Pastors Position
I don't believe that Bill Hybels president of Willow Creek would be happy about this
The Willow Creek Florida Church pastor Kevin Labby is wrong to give Tullian a pastors position and Tullian is wrong to accept it
This is a good example of how pastors can have no idea about true repentance and restoration

There is no such thing as irreparable unless one or the other or both party/parties REFUSE to surrender..
There is something missing here and it is the answer to the question ..WHO refused?
We don't know from this what took place during that 6 months of effort to restore the marriage. Was he truly repentant and desirous for his marriage to stay together?
Was his attitude such that his wife rightly believed he would continue this behavior?
Was his wife bitter and refused to release unforgiveness?
Who filed for divorce? Was it just a mutual agreement that neither wanted to stay married?
However, I do believe his new pastor should have had him sit on a bench until his repentance and change was recognized, and not just assumed...only time and behavior reveal true repentance to most..
Trust lost in the marriage and in his relationship t the body of Christ must be earned...forgiveness, however, is a different story.

Quest, did you read the entire article? It pretty much answers your questions The wife was unfaithful first. They were being counseled for six months. He filed for divorce. Tullian is thankful for his new pastor. That tells me he is not a pastor.
I personally know two men at this time who are now out of active ministry due to unfaithful wives. Both women went on to marry their lovers.
