Thread: President Trump: I 'need God even more' after becoming President

President Trump says he needs "God even more" now that he's in the White House.

Trump, a Christian, said Friday the office has put greater pressure on him than in his previous private sector job.

"I would say that the office is so powerful that you need God even more because your decisions are no longer 'gee, I'm going to build a building in New York,' or 'I'm going to do this.'

These are questions of massive life and death, even with regard to healthcare," Trump told Christian Broadcasting Network's "The Brody File." "You know we're working very hard on healthcare.

But there, you're talking about life and death and you're talking about better lives. People living better because they have better health care at a lower price, which we're working very hard on."

It's so encouraging to have a President publicly confess that he needs God. Very encouraging indeed!

Makes it easier to pray even more for him because we know that God works mightily through YIELDED vessels.

I put this on FB and one person responded that they were praying for him to get a heart attack. I think it has been attitudes like this that have made me become even more pro-Trump. If the devil hates the man this much that he move "Christians" to pray for his death then God must surely have His hand on the man.

Yes I saw it, that was so sad to read. Did you see my response? I just had no words and I certainly didn't know she was a Christian.

I loved your response to her. It fit my feelings to a tee.

Yes, she is a Christian and used to have a big Jesus (with Superman "S" shield logo) in her profile picture but changed it a few days ago. She and I got into a heated debate over the women's march last week in which I told her how stupid it was and she has been dogging me every since. Surprised she has not unfriended me yet since I have had at least one "unfriend" since giving major support for Trump on my page (with two new friends since).

I don't think I've ever seen Canadians get to tied up emotionally over a US president.

I think that also speaks to the plans and purposes of God on President Trump.

A.J., I have NEVER seen it this bad, at least not in America. There was SOME craziness when George Bush got elected but this stuff about Trump is just over the top. It seems that some Christians are almost abandoning the faith because hatred of Trump is more important to them than obedience to Christ.
