Thread: Is this police officer just stupid? Ft Worth officer under under scrutiny after arresting mother...

IMO this officer totally instigated this arrest. I think 'rude' and arrogant might be the best word for how he responded. Totally escalated by the officer when no need to unless there is not something showing. Although I couldn't imagine what it would be. The video starts in the middle but after about 10 seconds shows it from the beginning.

If someone said it was a comedy set up I could believe it.

But the cop acted like a meathead

It's possible they edited out a verbal argument escalating into something physical. The woman gesticulating near his face could have been seen as a threat. In general she talks to him as if he's just some dude and not a police officer, an authority. Which is a bad idea.

Well it appears they show the convo from the beginning, and she's just telling the story and he starts getting all condescending and smart aleck. It really appeared he just provoked the fight for whatever the reason.

Yep! - He obviously had a chip on his shoulder, but even so, haven't these people seen what happens when a Black person "provokes" a cop?

Maybe he's just got a thing about littering. But yeah, he's being a jerk.
