No, his attitude is with the mother. That's obvious to me. He only has the word of a neighbor, who is white like him, so of course he decides (in his mind) that this ignorant, over-weight, black woman hasn't raised her child right. No, it's not littering that's his issue, his "thing" is with the mother. :-/
Just because racism is OVERUSED by some, doesn't mean it's disappeared. No matter what some Conservatives may think. IJS

I see your point, Sis, really, I do...
But again - After all of the Black-People-Shot-by-Cops incidents, Black folks should be real hesitant to jump up in a cop's face these days.

I'm not even sure this guy ought to be a policemen with a temperament like that. I mean if you blow up over such an innocuous indecent like this, where you were supposed to be helping the woman, I really don't trust you not to unnecessarily escalate a potentially more dangerous situation.

I'm sure she was thinking more about the harm done to her child than her own safety, especially after the stupid officer starts blaming her. I would've gotten angry too.
However, I would've handled it differently than her. I would've had him call his supervisor to the scene. But then again, people handle anger differently. I don't blame her at all. It's all on the officer, and I hope he's reprimanded for his actions.

Exactly! Seems his only concern is for "certain" citizens. He's in the wrong profession for sure.

I meant my comment (about him just having a thing about littering) to be funny. Obviously, it wasn't.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Littering isn't funny.

What we had there was a failure in communication.

I didn't see this as an issue of racism, no, ... I see a "Barney Fife" cop who is abusing his position of authority to teach this mother a lesson.
The cop crossed the lines .... and should be reprimanded...
