WHAM! Star George Michael has Died
(CNN)British pop star George Michael, the musician who first shot to fame with the 1980s duo Wham!, has died, his family said in a statement. He was 53 years old.
"It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period," said the statement which was released by Britain's Thames Valley Police.
Wham! scored big with hits such as "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" and "Careless Whisper."
Michael went on to a successful solo career; his 1987 debut album "Faith" sold more than 10 million copies. Many of his hits with Wham! and as a solo artist, are still well-known decades later.

I liked his music, even after he went solo, there were a couple songs I liked. Very sad. I hope he got saved.

In his case his lifestyle was the reason he died early.

How do you know? I know he was homosexual, and I wondered if his death was AIDS related, but was he still on drugs? He had a partner that succumbed to the disease back in the 90s.

George had maintained a low public profile in recent years, only communicating with fans through Twitter where he had insisted he was “perfectly fine”.
I'll admit I haven't "kept up" with him or his music in recent years, but when I saw recent pics of him, he certainly didn't look well at all.
I remember seeing pics of Freddie Mercury before he died--he looked worse than George, but still--that lifestyle is nothing but death and destruction. A family member of mine's life was cut REAL short all because of this demonic stronghold.
