I don't care if a student wants to have a gun and learn how to use it. However he or she can do so at a local gun range.
I don't see how teaching students how to kill people fits into teaching theology. Let them learn that somewhere else. Have we gone mad? Yes, I believe we have. This is, to me, symptomatic of a weak, carnal, and powerless church.
Back in the day, people like Charles Spurgeon said, "If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for." Nowadays we're ready to dispatch them to hell with a bullet to their gut.
Back in the day, William Booth shed tears over those would do him physical harm. Today he's turning in his grave.
I guess the Bibles at Liberty quote 2 Corinthians 10:4 as: "For the weapons of our warfare
are carnal, able to pull down strong holds with the squeeze of a trigger."
