I don't know Colonel, but perhaps it's going to an old style Bible Study, something that I think would benefit Farm Truck.

And if the Bible Study is in a school hall (like our church was for a while on a couple of occasions) perhaps he could stay for a Geography lesson?

I googled "image Farm Truck" and picked one that wasn't pushing things too far. I intentionally didn't select one of these.

If it's on a pig farm it could be used to carry Baloney Sausage!!

I can sense the spirit of unity thriving among the brethren here. Even when they disagree, one loves the other.

That's the upsidedown version of what I should have written but I thought that the other version would have looked a bit strange.

I can feel a spell of "reality" coming on here. Or maybe that is just a matter of being conformed to the spirit of this world. So I shrugged it off.

The thing with being with a existing church is that it comes with brand. You may not like Macca's but people see it and know what they're going to get as opposed to what they'll get from Bernard's Burgers next door.

At the funeral I conducted today I said that I was "a member of <...> which is part of the Hillsong group of churches" because the deceased had attended Hillsong and the connection was important to the family. Similarly with my brother I identified myself as being a brother.

Normally though I'd just give my name but I don't have to justify my being there.

There was a GREAT exodus of people who left the UCC in the 80s and early 90s as they were losing the fight to keep it God and Biblically centered.

The UCC has a very rich heritage of 3 denominations joining together to form and then there was a UCC in every one horse town in Canada.... then........ the wrong people got into the main leadership rolls and it was down hill from there... inclusiveness, homosexuals in the pulpit... and now this? This doesn't surprise me, really....
Liberals are typically very childlike and entitled in their thinking . The lines dontr really have to connect to the them . So longa as it's something they want they will claim it as a right.

It's NOT... let me say it again, NOT, NOT, whether women should be in the pulpit.

Stop bringing issues from other threads into every conversation...

The idea would be the same if it were a male minister who was an athiest demanding to stay in the pulpit.

Why would he ever want to???

(and yes, I know, she's listening to the father of LIES on this - that was a rhetorical question)
    Thank you!

Absolutely...we have seen men do the same thing....so it's the subject of the decline of truth in the body and supposed Christians in leadership backsliding and taking their congregation with them..probably fed them deception for a long time...

As believers we MUST be careful what we HEAR and be led by the Spirit ...like the article posted by AJ...deception is rampant causing doubt and unbelief...we must hit this head on...

Who did I read years ago? that said we can't be like baby birds swallowing anything dropped in our mouth..

It does carry a brand. We have seen lot in the past few years where that band has changed to accommodate...some bran now embrace homosexual pastors and gay marriage that would have died before allowing it even in the church much less in leadership, some years ago. She plans to try to get them to accept her and when they do their brand will change...and as AJ noted, it has been changing for many years...

She also said if she goes many will go with her...and the brand knows that...chances are they will choose to keep the $$$$.
