Unbelievable!
I'm glad you posted this because I had forgotten about the lady who got jailed and the other bakers who got fined (I think one fine was $135,000?) and another who lost their business

Furthermore, would you really want to eat a cake that they were forced to make? You probably have no idea what they put in the cake

Personally, I would report it (go as high up the chain as possible) and then start shopping for a bakery that friends recommend.

No one expects this from a Walmart but we live in a complicated PC world now
Here is the difference see, Walmart does not claim 'religious' foundation...it is not a bakery owned by Christians or gays...If Walmart wants to enter that arena they have to prove their fundamental badness structure is 'religious'. Employees refusing to accommodate a customer is Walmart's issue here and when employees refuse to do that they should be reprimanded..or else Walmart must write specific guidelines for the cake decorators to follow..In this case employees set their own standards this Walmart manager accommodated THEIR will...this will not be the end of this matter for Walmart, I suspect.

Write to Walmart headquarters or stop shopping at Walmart.

It appears corporate Walmart contacted the family and 'made this right'...one can assume what that means but it is clear the family said no more about it after that...

We have to remember and employee only is representative of a company if that company does nothing to correct them or the situation...in this case something was done and whatever it was was kept quiet?

Walmart, to my knowledge has stayed out of political and social issues...quite a few have tried really hard to raise stinks but it never seems to go anywhere..
