Claiming to be close to the middle from either side will get American votes. Talking pro-life and doing little should qualify from the Republican side. It's not like that here in Norway, the two right wing parties have each swung from 10 to over 30 percent during the last 5 years or so. The centre-left party is always quite large but the leftist party has varied in size as much as the right wing parties during the last 15 years. Norwegian politics is quite secular so none of the parties of any size are better than divided about abortion issues. The Christian democrats will talk anti-abortion but not do too much.

I have followed these men and read their comments for some time. They are consistent in their views and I accept them as true anti-abortionists.

Ron Paul? He is a maverick. He will never get anywhere, just like his Father.

He told the truth, he was rejected. Our loss.

He has a distorted view of things. I pray to God that he never gets into national office.

He will be a one term senator.

I'm referring to his father, Ron Paul, not Rand Paul, his son, the senator.

But yeah, Ron Paul told the truth, accurately predicted the "crisis", accurately predicted failure in our mid-east policies, delivered 4,000+ babies as an OB/Gyn and proposed realistic pro-life legislation, was married to the same woman for fifty years, never suffered scandal, remained consistent to all campaign promises is a Christian and was rejected....

    by people of truth.

    our loss.

No, the GOP is only interested in anti-abortion rhetoric. Were they to settle the issue they would lose a block of support, this is why they always play the "pretend to fail" game.

They could have end-runned the supreme court long ago with simple legislation. They won't.
    exactly
