No, you were right! Jesus warned us about the very things going on in the world today. Even though as children of God we have nothing to fear, it's going to get worse for those who don't put their trust in God. And that goes for many Christians who are living like world and those who never read the Bible, pray, or even have a clue what Scriptures prophesied. We have a lot of work to do on getting the Gospel to the lost and hurting.

I wonder if you'd feel that way if you were about to have your head separated from your shoulders?

A lot of people believe in the resurrection, but are still going to hell. I just watched Oprah Winfrey interview Iyanla Vanzant and it is absolutely ludicrous how they perceive God. Talk about loony toon!

After watching that sad, disgraceful, and tragic display of ignorance and deception, I had to pray in the Spirit, and get in the Word and wash their "spookiness" out of my psyche.

It's amazing how folk will believe parts of the Bible, but toss what doesn't line up with their "feelings" or their demonic induced delusions & perceptions.

So how does that infer we don't need the Bible, when the resurrection is in the Bible, and in talking about it in witnessing, preaching, etc, the Bible has to be referenced for the validity of it?

When I have time and am in the mood, I'll go over the article more carefully and watch the videos and give a little more informed opinion.

I see there aren't any videos. I'd prefer to actually watch the sermon he preached rather than hear someone bloviate on what he said and just pulling quotes out.

From what I read, it appears to me that he's saying we ONLY need to know about the Resurrection. (Or maybe he's saying just unbelievers need to know the resurrection, only). Maybe I missed something in that very long discourse.

I agree the Resurrection is the most important part of Salvation. We couldn't be saved without it. But to live the abundant, victorious life Jesus came to give us, WE NEED THE ENTIRE BIBLE. And he's WRONG in saying the Scriptures can't be defended. Scripture defends itself.

I got to looking at the site. This guy is an equal opportunity basher.

Benny Hinn. Reinhard Bonnke. Bill Johnson. Todd White. Lou Engle. These are but a few of the brand-name spiritual schemers aiming to descend on Orlando in December. It’s not like Orlando doesn’t have enough trouble, you’d think. We’ve written recently on the apostasy in – believe it or don’t – the First Baptist Church there. Yeah, an SBC church engaged in behavior that would make these Christmas-time Florida quack visitors proud.

The Jesus Conference has a nifty, spiritual-sounding ambition accented with appealingly thick Christian-ese lingo…

“The heartbeat of the Jesus Conference is simple – experience Jesus in a life-changing way. We want the Glory of God. Encounter is what we are after. America and the rest of the world is in desperate need for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.”

Umm. I’m thinking of a single word … NO.

No, no, no. God doesn’t work that way. Faith doesn’t work that way. Bluntly, this isn’t Christianity … even remotely. Perhaps if these spiritual fraudsters would actually seek Truth (John 17:17) instead of “experience” and “encounters,” they’d understand. But, really, we can’t expect these agents of emotionalistic deception to care about truth. The real shame is that undiscerning multitudes will buy into their charlatanry and cough up the cash to buy a warm-fuzzy in an exciting -though thoroughly false – “Jesus experience.” (Ananias & Sapphira … Acts 5:1-11 … yeah, just popped into my head. But I’m just thinking out loud …)

“We want the Glory of God.” Well, I’m gonna make sure to stay away from Orlando during this lapostasy-palooza. Don’t want to be around anyone thinking they’re gonna wrestle glory from our Sovereign God. Silk suits and sparkly televangelist bling will be the extent of the glory these hurlers of heresy will apprehend. Of course, those paying to attend will be helping them get even more of such “glory.”

Anyway, I wouldn't make this my go to guy in properly evaluating preachers and what they preach. I think I even read where he was taking the SBC to task for allowing women preachers.
