Racists - no it's not it's against whites.

For a university dedicated to providing an inclusive environment, calling an event “#StopWhitePeople2K16” seems counterproductive at best. The name is divisive, politically motivated, and does nothing to actually prevent racism. If anything, it seems to imply that the “uneducated people” mentioned in the event description must be white.

    but then

Diversity official: ‘I don’t see a problem with it’

    #StopWhitePeople2K16: It’s just a joke.

That’s the explanation from the State University of New York-Binghamton on how the inflammatory hashtag made it into the name of a training session for resident assistants (RAs).

It seems like certain minorities want to have their cake and eat it too. Whites aren't allowed to exclude poc (and I agree they shouldn't!) but poc are fine to just say no to associating with whites and stay amongst themselves in their "safe spaces." Maybe this is all just an adjustment period that will eventually lead to a post-racial society where everyone is treated equally, and people can hang out with whomever they want without having their motives questioned.

    I'm gunna bump this.

Maybe my timing was wrong, but there was another thread on a supposed white couple (turns out they weren't white) being racist and there was a lot of emotion and comment made about it. However when I post about POC being racist soon after there is only one response.

As I said, maybe the timing was wrong and people were over racist discussions as I hope the reason wasn't because people are racist and refuse to acknowledge racism by non-whites.

I think we're all intelligent and mature enough to acknowledge that racist attitudes exists in people of all races.

I just don't see the point in bringing this up again, Brother.

I'm a bit confused by the content of the two links, but what I can gather is that the actual content of the program was reasonable. The title was clearly a mistake and should be changed.

I think the title was meant to be a bit sarcastic. If not sarcastic just a spoof on PC and all the craziness happening on campuses. Some may find it offensive. I did a little at first, but it did gain attention and that is what it was meant to do.
