    carry on...
My mother has a "happy room" She converted my old bedroom to a place where she can paint, read and sew. Her "she shed" just holds her gardening equipment. My mother is a very spoiled and happy lady!

    • A "cameraman" must now be called a "camera operator."
    • There will be no more references to a "cleaning lady," but instead an "office cleaner."
    • New students are no longer "freshmen" but rather "first-year students."
    • A "mailman" no longer delivers letters or packages, because that's the work now of a "mail carrier," "letter carrier" or "postal worker."
    • Nothing is to ever be done for the betterment of "mankind" but instead for "humanity," "human kind" or simply "people."
    • A "waiter" or "waitress" will no longer dish out grub, as that's now the work of a "server."
    • An "average man" is now an "average person" or "ordinary person."

Some of these changes are extremely offensive.

Why not replace "actor" with "actress"?

"cleaning lady" should not be replaced with "office cleaner" but should be replaced with "Office, hallway, bathroom, lounge, entry and stairway cleaner". Or else we demean them by saying they do little work.

Many "freshman" are actually 2nd and 3rd year students so "first year student" doesn't cut it.

    "postal worker"? enough said.

"human" and "human kind" still have the word man in them. It should be "hu". We can't use "hu kind" because people are the scourge of the planet and therefore not kind.

"average person" or "ordinary person"? Demeaning to the self esteem of any reader. Should be replaced with "person extraordinaire"
