July Makes 15 Record Hot Months in a Row

    http://www.climatecentral.org/news/j...in-a-row-20611

"July marked an unprecedented 15th straight record-hot month, according to data released Wednesday by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, whose records go back to 1880.

NOAA's temperature data also confirmed that July was not only the record warmest July ever, but the hottest month ever on record, in agreement with NASA data released Monday.

I saw on TV the other day where Atlanta set a new record for consecutive days where the temperature did not get under 70 at night. I think it was like 56-58 or something, and the weatherman said he still didn't see it ending yet. My memory may be short but I can't remember when we've had so many +90 days during the summer.

Here in Oslo we've had both monthly cold records and warm records during the last few years. I think local variations aren't as interesting as global. There could be a global record high and at the same time there could be a record low in for instance Atlanta. On one of their maps, there was an all-time monthly low close to the Falkland islands while nearly half the world had an all-time monthly high.

The west coast has had non stop dry hot weather this summer. We are talking endless days of 100 + degree heat. Only the immediate coast were spared.

We thought we were coming out of a drought but this will set us back again. The fires are beginning to rage

I missed most of the Ca heat because I was on the road almost the entire summer, but it was miserable everywhere I went

Unless the data is incorrect, the globe as such has been and is warming up, on average. According to their video here :

    http://www.climatecentral.org/news/s...oward-2c-20332

temperatures went back and forth during 1850-1970 then since 1970 they have been rising steadily.
