He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned.
    And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

You don't reckon Jesus is not watching over His Word to perform it, do ya?

Yes, as far as I'm concerned all I pray for to receive healing do get healed based on what Jesus said... simply because He is not a liar. And, personally I do not get sick and spend zero each year on pharmakeia / witchcraft / medicine.

I have hands... I can "lay them on" and that is my part. The healing is Jesus' part. I cannot personally do anything about that, but Jesus said healing would come if I lay hands on them... so I do my part and He does His part. I don't believe Jesus is a liar, so healing always comes... it's just not always received. The problem is NOT with Jesus when someone does not get healed.

Most people these days, sadly including most Christians, are so invested in medical science that they call the doctor before they call Jesus... and Jesus lets them have what they sow (Gal 6:7,8).

God allows Christians to die when they call the doc first and put their faith / action into the wisdom and abilities of man above the Lord Jesus. It's always too bad when someone dies before their time, but God allows it because He is not the One deciding what seeds people sow.
I have zero issues with Jesus and the word. I have issues with you and your attitude toward other believers.

So you go to someone, lay hands on them and there is no manifestation of healing. What are they then to do?

That's the problem... their not all believers. Jesus said the children of the devil grow up amongst the Children of Light, so not everyone that claims to be a Christian is. "Christians" act like God's promises are TRUE and they walk by faith not by sight and they understand that the Kingdom of God works on the seedtime harvest principle which answers what should be done if manifestation of healing doesn't happen right when the prayer of faith is prayed... having done all to stand, stand therefore... (armor of God passage).

Concerning healing, most Christians do not believe what God's Word teaches and that is a fact which is evident by how many Christians go to medical science and end up spending all kinds of money and they die anyway... and God allows it.

The reason God allows it is because He gave us dominion which simply means we we are the ones who decide what we receive and what we don't receive.

Sounds like you do actually have a problem with what Jesus said... it's evident by your questioning the truthfulness of Jesus saying "lay hands on the sick and they shall recover".

Jesus is the only One that can provide revelation for you, so you need to take this up with Him... either that, or admit you do not believe what Jesus says in Mark 16:15-18

Please show me the call to action in scripture where God says go to the doctor... it's not there. God never instructs His people to not come to Him as He is Jehovah-jireh, our Provider!

What God says is that if there be any sick among you let him call for the elders:

    James 5:14,15
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

OK, so with Jesus already having taken our sickness / infirmities upon Himself and with Him being all powerful... why again should Christians go to the doctor rather than receiving health and healing from the Lord thru His Spirit based on the promises in His written Word???

I've seen many Christians over the years go to the doctor and being overtaken by their sickness and die... I decided over 25 years ago that God would be my source for health and healing and He has never let me down.

I find it odd that other Christians don't know about this... maybe they don't have a Bible, or maybe they can't read er something... something is up with this!

Farm Truck, do you feel any sense of responsibility for having talked Christians into never seeing a doctor and then they suffer in the years to come and maybe die prematurely because you solidified that anti-doctor belief in them ?

Apparently... Jesus is a liar... at least to you concerning this subject. Yes, you should be very. very mad... and go read your Bible and see what God says about healing and learn that He is well able to heal! Problem is, many of His people refuse to allow Him to heal cause they put they trust in doctors which is why many Christians get sick and die early.

You are speaking against God's promises based on the FACT that Jesus took our sickness / diseases upon Himself. I can only speak for me... it's illegal for satan to put sickness on me!

This basically means you either do not God's Word on this subject or you simply choose to not believe it and instead walk by sight and not by faith concerning physical health.

Not seeing a doctor is not what heals someone... it's allowing God's promises thru the Holy Spirit to live in us that heals us. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty... from whatever we need liberating from!
