Thread: UK votes to leave the European Union

  1. #21
My understanding is that the UK was not part of the subset of EU nations that allow inter-nation visa-free travel. Does that mean that the UK already had control of their immigration policies, despite being a member of the EU?

As a Norwegian citizen and Norway being included in the EU border system (schengen agreement), I dont need a visa to go to the uk but in 15 i needed to register my passport details in advance so security has become tighter.

Thanks. Do you happen to know if it would be legal for you to emigrate to the UK; i.e., live there and work there permanently, without submitting some kind of application to the UK government?

(I don't need a visa to visit Canada, but I can't emigrate there without submitting an application which the Canadian government can approve or disapprove.)

It's not really a stretch, nor too broad at all.

Anything that riles up the devil's crowd is because it's riling up the Defeated one.

The Greens are screaming bloody murder also.

Be careful with equating political views to spiritual affiliation.

    I'm not.

But it is still a pretty good starting point.

Their own beliefs, actions and words betray them.

    We have light...

    Matthew 12:33-35
    (33) Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
    (34) O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
    (35) A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

Really?! My MIL is visiting family in Scotland, so this has totally been under the radar for me. I imagine if it comes up for a vote again that Scotland will vote for independence this time.

Can I quote you on this? Seems to be the battle cry of some, "if you're not Republican through and through, you're not a Christian"

Northern Ireland and Scotland had a substantial majority in favor of staying in the EU. I can see Scotland getting out of the UK and then into the EU.
