Former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernández was extradited to the US in 2022, he was accused of leading a major drug-trafficking conspiracy — allegedly cooperating with some of the world's largest cocaine-trafficking organizations to funnel hundreds of thousands of kilograms of cocaine through his country and into the United States.
The indictment alleges that he accepted millions of dollars in bribes from traffickers in exchange for using his political power, law enforcement, and the military to protect and facilitate drug shipments.

Reminds me of when Trump threatened Brazil with higher tariffs unless they undid his political ally and former president Bolsonaro's 27 year prison sentence.

Apart from the pardoning, it reminds me of 20th century US dealings with "banana republics". Or is "sh*thole countries" the new term for those?

Well, there was no difference when Biden and the democrats stole the election in 2020.

But with Trump back in office, he is attempting to enact new voter laws like showing mandatory voter ID at the polls and cracking down on mail in voter fraud. I hope he's successful. We definitely need a overhaul on the United States voter and election process. The democrats will always attempt to find new ways to cheat, it's what they do best, and they know that's the only way they can win, cheat.

Gerrymandering is rampant on both sides. It's as if both are thinking that "we need to be as bad as the other ones". What a culture.
