"BRUSSELS, Jan 28 (Reuters) - NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen agreed at a meeting on Tuesday that allies need to focus on strengthening defences in the Arctic, a source familiar with the talks told Reuters.
"They agreed that in this effort all allies have a role to play," the source said after the meeting."

We might speculate on what "all allies" means, but I doubt that the NATO chief and the Danish prime minister agreed - a week ago - that the US should take over Greenland and then run its defense on their own. That is an obvious fabrication.

A polling firm called "patriot polling" run by two American teenagers came up with a poll of Greenlanders in January to the effect that a majority of Greenlanders want to join the US. Which is probably what lead a Danish polling company and a Greenlandic polling company to team up for the poll mentioned in the original post in this thread.

Even if that result were truthful, a poll is not a vote. Greenlanders haven't voted on joining the US, that is an outright fabrication.

Here's a BBC article from Feb2. Not sure BBC is any better than CNN, but here it is.

    It is amazing.
You can take some words from a longer context, twist them, post on facebook
and find people not only reading it, believing it, but sharing it.
It is fake, it is not the truth, it is not helpful.
This is a great example how demagogic and manipulation works.
