Ted Cruz blasts shocking Satan-themed performance at Grammys: 'This is evil'

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Tex., joined a chorus of Republicans and conservatives voicing outrage over a controversial performance during Sunday night's Grammys which featured a singer dressed as the Devil.

"Nonbinary" singer Sam Smith's duet with transgender artist Kim Petras for their song, "Unholy," featured Smith wearing Devil horns, while Petras gyrated in a cage against the backdrop of flames. Dancers dressed as demons bowed and crawled around Smith.

"This...is...evil," Cruz wrote in response to a tweet of the performance shared by conservative commentator Liz Wheeler.

"Don't fight the culture wars, they say. Meanwhile demons are teaching your kids to worship Satan. I could throw up," she remarked.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga. also condemned the "demonic" performance, which immediately featured "sponsored by Pfizer," afterwards.

"The Grammy's featured Sam Smith's demonic performance and was sponsored by Pfizer. And the Satanic Church now has an abortion clinic in NM that requires its patients to perform a satanic ritual before services. American Christians need to get to work," she wrote...

I think the entire show was a testament to Satan. Phizer commercials as well.

I wouldn't know, I have never watched an award show in my life. I have to wonder why people are so interested in an industry patting itself on the back every year. I'm not even interested in my own "company's" awards. I just know I'm not getting one. I guess there was one bright spot in "song of the year"

Nothing wrong with Award shows. Recognizing talented and gifted people for exceptional work in the area of film, music, or sports. It's the content of today's Award shows that have become perverse. When you compare the Award shows from the 30's-60's, they were well done and entertaining to watch.

I stopped watching the Academy Awards when the homosexual actor who played Doogie Howser on TV hosted part of the show in his underwear. That was it for me. I've caught glimpses since then, but it gets worse every year. Same with the Grammys.

We never watch the award shows. I have seen news clips and that was bad enough. I am glad I didn't see it. Sounds terrible. It seems like it gets worse each year.
