Yeah, that's the problem, self driving kinda works and kinda doesn't, people assume it actually works.
In order for self driving to really work, you have to eliminate human drivers, which I think is why they are tolerating the self driving experiment.

I'm thinking that some people's main problem with Musk running Twitter is that it will be harder to maintain the echo chambers where people's opinions and consumer behaviors can be controlled and streamlined into a profit machine. That's how Facebook makes money.

That and another problem: having conservatives expressing TRUTH in the same cybersphere as they. That alone will trigger anxiety and panic.

Twitter has been a place for the left to exercise POWER.

Back in April, Mr. Musk stated that "Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated." Hence, he would make changes to ensure that widely different viewpoints are able to be expressed on the site.
That's a laudable goal. It will be interesting to see the specifics of his new moderation policies.
Already, racists and anti-Semites (or trolls impersonating the same) are celebrating the takeover and exhibiting quite a bit of nastiness in doing so.
While Twitter has yet to announce any official changes to the site's content moderation, users reportedly appeared emboldened to push the limits following the takeover, using racist, antisemitic and homophobic slurs.
Some users tweeted out entire posts that repeated one racial slur over and over in all caps, while others posted Nazi memes.

Advertisers may boycott the platform if there's the possibilities that their ads would show up alongside such posts. Given that his purchase was highly leveraged, he's likely to be reluctant to take steps that would lose big corporate advertisers. (Of course, he could just sell some of his Tesla stock.)
