It is with great sadness, we announce that Jeff Jansen, passed
away unexpectedly. Over the years, Jeff has left an indelible
mark on those who knew him.

Please pray for his family as they remember him and grieve this

Never heard of him. But I do know that Bill Johson and a few others I follow on Instagram followed him. Bill posted on the announcement on Jeff's Instagram.

Julie Roy's posted a scathing article on Jansen exposing some of his dirt. I don't think it was an appropriate time.

His death is very sad and no one should be mocking. His family will be suffering

I don't know alot about him but from what is written he had a very large ministry in certain pente/charismatic circles

My concern is that sections of the pente/charis church never learn from the past.
We have big ministries who are idolised for their gifts but when exposed with problems it is very difficult to bring that person into accountability and restoration.

Jeff seems to have had serious alcohol issues with DUI's as well as recent erratic behaviour. Did his fellow friend ministers try to help?
Maybe they did privately and he didn't respond to them. His followers will give him a pass due to his gifting but that is not scriptural.

This is terribly sad but the state of popular ministries with no accountability is a serious problem.
It doesn't matter how many people were blessed by his ministry - his lifestyle is the No.1 concern to God. God cares more about his spiritual state yet many in the church seem oblivious to this.

I am not talking about being perfect but scripture is clear the standard is higher for those in ministry

None of us want to see Heresy Hunters always attacking Pentes/Charis but we give them the ammunition when we do not deal with foolish and ungodly behavior.
