When our son was suicidal, Rog took all his guns out of the house.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Yes, personal responsibility vs. state actions.

When they advertise the prescription drugs on TV, I'm surprised by how many of their side effects include suicidal thoughts. It's appalling to say the least.

Many survivors of suicide say the moment they did the deed, they regretted it. I've heard those that leapt from buildings or some other high place, and survived, that immediately after they jumped, they wish they hadn't.

I'm a strong proponent of the Second Amendment, but if I knew my loved one was depressed and suicidal, I'd take whatever precautions I could. That includes removing guns and any other potential weapon. I know if a person is determined to take their own life, they'll find a way to do it, but at least I won't have to live with the guilt that I did nothing to try and prevent it.
Of course that includes prayer and intercession for the person.

Of course, that's personal responsibility. That has nothing to do with the second amendment.

If I'm not mistaken, you made a comment against removing her guns.

No, not at all. I said there was a difference between personal responsibility and state action.
