Anti-vaxxers sorry they refused the vaccine on their deathbeds !

PROVO, Utah — As Mindy Greene spent another day in the Covid intensive care unit, listening to the whirring machines that now breathed for her 42-year-old husband, Russ, she opened her phone and tapped out a message.

"We did not get the vaccine," she wrote on Facebook. "I read all kinds of things about the vaccine and it scared me. So I made the decision and prayed about it and got the impression that we would be ok."

    They were not.

Her husband, the father to their four children, was now hovering between life and death, tentacles of tubes spilling from his body. The patient in the room next to her husband's had died hours earlier. That day, July 13, Ms. Greene decided to add her voice to an unlikely group of people speaking out in the polarized national debate over vaccination: the remorseful.

"If I had the information I have today, we would have gotten vaccinated," Ms. Greene wrote. Come what may, she hit "send."

Amid a resurgence of coronavirus infections and deaths, some people who once rejected the vaccines or simply waited too long are now grappling with the consequences, often in raw, public ways. A number are speaking from hospital beds, at funerals and in obituaries about their regrets, about the pain of enduring the virus and watching unvaccinated family members die gasping for breath.

So I made the decision and prayed about it
Seems like she did it in the wrong order. Very sad, I'm sorry for her loss. I think it's natural during the grieving period to doubt all decisions made up to that point. My grandmother was in a nursing home with memory issues. She did fine for the most part, but started suffering from deep depression where she was crying all day. My mother couldn't stand seeing her so miserable and asked the Dr. who suggested he prescribe antidepressants, despite there being side effects of causing strokes in elderly patients. A few months later, my grandmother had a massive stroke that killed her. My mom, naturally, wondered if she made the right decision giving permission for those pills. I told her, "did you want her crying for the rest of her life? She had felt better and enjoyed her visits from family those last months. I believe you make the best decisions you can with the information you have, you weigh risks and make your decision.

Do You mean you want a strictly anti-vax forum with no contradiction to the daily propaganda. There have been dozens of fear laced anti-vaxx articles here .

I think pretty much everybody is settled here on everybody should do what they think they should do. I haven't seen anybody with the frenzy behind your posts that you have. At least not this late in the game.

AJ posts every week about the vax. Almost daily. All one sided and biased. We need to hear the other side if there is any trace of fairness left in this debate? The ridiculous replies I have gotten amplify that. I said Perry Stone reported 400-500 COG ministers passed from covid. John said they all must have been obese! So, if someone pops in here and reads these posts as newbie, they will see that this is not strictly an anti-vax forum. But for the most part every single article posted the last year has been totally one-sided with little if any rebuttals.

We are persistently and perpetually being bombarded with Vaccine propaganda. You can't turn on a radio or a TV or read a newspaper without having the GET VAXXED AND BOOSTED message shoved down your throat every 5 minutes. Everything the world is throwing at us is one sided and biased. You can repeat what we hear 1,000 times a week here, no problem, just don't expect the message to be greeted warmly.

No, I said I was at a hotel that was hosting a conference for a denomination (pastors and wives) and all of the attendees were grossly overweight. I didn't say it was COG.

It has been said many times that the non-vaxers here respect those who choose the vax, but you are correct John, the response is not kind. To my knowledge, I've never spewed any of what is said in the press or pushed anyone to get the vax. However the strong responses continue. I try to stay out of the fire here. Not all who take the vax are into the msm spin.

My interest in Christian forums has mainly been about spiritual subjects. The pandemic and the 2020 election have made world events the seeming focus here.

I really hope that I've been kind. I don't even consider people who don't take the COVID vaccine as necessarily anti-vaxxers. I do have family members who have made the thoughtful decision not to vaccinate themselves and their children and I respect that.

I know it might be hard to hear through all the other noise but I've said repeatedly that there is no judgement either way, vaxxed or non-vaxxed. I believe everyone has and will continue to make the very best decisions for themselves, whatever that is.

Yes, I agree. I also think the the larger picture as it relates to world events is spiritual. The frenzy about vaccines is not really about vaccines, it's about controlling us, censoring us, making us compliant to government bodies. They don't care about our health, that much is plain, only control of our thoughts and actions through fear tactics.
