Anger is greater in the city of Melbourne due to some of the decisions of the Premier. The violence is a concern

It's so good to see Australians standing up and pushing back. Some of the videos of what they're doing to people are horrifying....
The troubling thing for me is that "they" keep saying Canada is next - our government will be following in the footsteps of Australia.
If you haven't heard, Trudeau "won" the election and has a minority government again... so he doesn't have full power unless one of the other minority parties vote with him, which the NDP (New Democratic Party) has done over the last 2 years. So JT spent over $600M that we don't have to put himself right back in the same place.
There is talk of the election being rigged. Ya think???
So it is great to see Australians standing up. Good on them, I say! Maybe Canadians will quit being so wimpy now.

Actually it didn't hit him on the head.
For the record, I'm against violence but very much in favor of civil disobedience. Blocking traffic good, throwing stuff at weaselly reporters, not so much. The state will always use any violence as an excuse to perpetrate much more violence.

I don't think so... we just got off a Zoom call for husband's step-mom's 81st birthday. Every single one of them has been vaccinated. As step-mom said, "maybe after everyone gets vaccinated we can go back to normal." You can't really tell them that there is never going to be a go-back-to-normal. They are too blind to see it.
