Red face International Women's Day March 8th

Celebrate the history we've made sisters. (group hugs)

Reminds me of a David Bowie and a Paul McCartney song.

Instead of all women being celebrated on March 8 from what I have seen over the years it has become a celebration and promotion of a certain class of women in positions of power
and mostly non-conservative, anti-scriptural and godless.

I can't remember one time my wife has felt it was significant to her

I am all for recognizing the value of Women and am very thankful for the billions of women over history for the vast positive contributions they have made

I don't have much respect for International Women's Day as it is politicized and hijacked by the left and promotes mostly females in power with an agenda
when the majority of women are ignored around the world.

    BTW I don't follow International Men's Day.

You'll understand I'm sure when I make the observation your posts in this thread are evidence of the precise opposite of your opening claim.
IWD celebrates the achievement of women and serves as a recognition of women's accomplishments and in the process encourages women and girls by bringing attention to those achievements.
Since politics make policy it is only fair that women who have achieved in government in particular are recognized and respected.

International Men's Day fell on November 19.

A question - Should trans women also be celebrated on International Women's Day?

In reality throughout the year the media and govt. promotes women's achievements continually in ads and news.

If you look at the history of IWD it was started and promoted by socialists and communists.

Women can be honored without March 8. Why isn't it a issue with my wife and many other women?
If you did a survey I would conclude the majority of women in our nation don't see any benefit on their lives from IWD.

    International Women's Day - Wikipedia

Lets look at the ROOTS - what fruit has it really brought forth in God's eyes

IWD originated from labor movements in North America and Europe during the early 20th century. The earliest version was purportedly a "Women's Day" organized by the Socialist Party of America in New York City February 28, 1909. This inspired German delegates at the 1910 International Socialist Woman's Conference to propose "a special Women's Day" be organized annually, albeit with no set date; the following year saw the first demonstrations and commemorations of International Women's Day across Europe. After women gained suffrage in Soviet Russia in 1917 (the beginning of the February Revolution), IWD was made a national holiday on March 8; it was subsequently celebrated on that date by the socialist movement and communist countries. The holiday was associated with far-left movements and governments until its adoption by the global feminist movement in the late 1960s. IWD became a mainstream global holiday following its adoption by the United Nations in 1977.
