Become The Knight - June 2, 2021
Kind of worldly talk in places.

Yup. There is no discernable difference between the two industries when it comes to money, fame and how to get it. Sad but no surprise here. It was Steve Camp some 25yrs ago that wrote a "95 theses" to the CCM labels and industry calling them out. Charisma Magazine carried the article causing quite a stir.

I haven't watched the video yet but way back in the day, early '90s I went to preach at a church in TX and a older minister that was a good friend went with me. He had been around all the church stuff since probably the '40s, and old timer. In a nutshell he told me about all the gospel groups back then, like the quartets, etc, and basically talked about how worldly they all were. I don't suspect much has changed.
I can't think of her name now, but she was a black contemporary Christian artist, this was in the '90s maybe, and she got up and said something about stuff like that and walked out of a meeting of the CEM or whatever that Christian music was. I had a friend that was with her and told me about it. I would Google her but I can't remember her name. It wasn't a Winans.

I think it was Babbie Mason. I didn't know she was from the Atlanta area so that makes sense my friend would know her. But I can't find anything about her doing that.
