    For Rod here:

Many names you all talked about I never heard of, some I have. Myself I'm a big Jobe fan as well as Third Day. Mac Powell's southern vocals just fit me because of my venue in that realm of singing. Seen them twice in my life at LeSea's events in South Bend, IN in late 2000's. Now the teaching thing you all was talking about. There it is! I got nothing against folks making money off of stuff either, that's the Lord giving back so they can do more. Like you guys said. All the stuff about the business side I agree with. Anything of worship I've heard don't think I ever heard any worldly side to it. But I guess it might be out there.

Now folks getting people to collaborate with them might be another deal to why the drum machine or digital accompaniment is used. They can't get people to collaborate with them. Or it's cheaper and just easier, maybe they can't get players to do live stuff. Especially to make a demo for original music.

Myself I'm not even in you all's league musicianship wise in playing an instrument. Could probably sing along as a front man/worship leader (two different venue's there I mean) maybe depending on the song. I sang in cover bands for some years singing southern rock, blues and country music in the clubs and bars back in the day. I always felt that as a privilege to make music with them. I didn't start with guitar until I was 27 yrs old. Learned from a Mel Gray book and that's about as far I could get really.

My lead stuff just filling the void on what I record. But I used a Boss DR5 and a Fostex 4 track to doing some recordings for my home studio. Use a Tascam DP-2 now when ever I get motivated to do anything. Not so much any more. But I just did demo like versions, mainly the melody and the vocal and the story, (lyric) to get to the listener. If your pitching it somewhere like idea. The style may vary with me, country, rhythm & blues, pop, rock, Gospel & Christian. But I enjoyed doing it.

Love songwriting & singing, vocally can't hit what it use to these days. But I can fake it good, Lol. Always was a dream to write lyric's, songs and collaborate with someone. I'm a 4 chord or so kind of guy there. Collaborator or Producer could change that and that would be cool and as well deserved for part of the copyright.

Now, I know the worship part of it you guys were talking about here was interesting. The only thing about worship leaders is listening to folks who can't hit the pitch, sing flat. When I hear that I just can't feel Heaven coming down. Heard many like that in my day. Maybe someone should tell them in the Church about their talent not being there. Seasoned with salt of course. Me well maybe I ain't all that, my You Tube might be the evidence, Lol. But they can click off to, no problem. But I've got some good comments a few times and I fronted some country bands. Front man is a job in its self. Think its the same in worship music as well. You got to bring it and I've sang in Churches and felt the anointing. One time in particular, one told me it sounded angelic. Then that next week Satan attacked my job and I lost it. Last job I ever worked, and that was during the recession. Haven't sang in a Church since up front either. But I bring it in the pew. Great video, thx.
