I had a friend that drove from OKC to Tulsa every Sunday to attend his church.

    How do they feel now?

I don't get believers doing that...isn't there one decent church closer

It's just 1.5 hours each way, so it does make sense if it really was good.

I wouldn't drive 1.5 hours unless God was moving powerfully. A lot of people travel for all sorts of natural and emotional reasons

That's true. There's no doubt that congregating with a large group of people can be attractive for many different reasons that don't necessarily have anything to do with the spiritual. There isn't necessarily anything wrong with those reasons though. In and of themselves.

Thanks for posting this, Sis. - I'll pass on it, however...

... Gotta agree that they chose the perfect actor to portray Pearson, and totally missed it with the actress playing "Gina."

I don't know what she thinks now. She moved out of state, I think before he became a universalist.

Ok, I think I know who Jason Siegel's character kinda sorta represents...also the "Reggie" character, who was part of the music ministry and had in fact died a few years after Carlton's change. Of course I expect certain details to not be exact, probably because certain individuals did not (or could not) want to be associated with this film...and I didn't know about the uncle in jail--either I don't remember who that person was, or this was just "artistic license".
It sounds interesting. I've already ordered Netflix so I can watch it come Friday.

The furthest I drove was 30-40 minutes to the East side of Detroit from Inkster. I did that twice a week for several years. But I don’t know if I would’ve driven longer than 45-50 minutes.
