The passion of the Christ 2 Resurrection is supposed to begin filming soon.

It's been 20 years since the release of first movie,
and the sequel "Resurrection" has been in the
making, (story, script, returning actors) for the last 10 years.

The focus will be the three days and nights of Jesus after He was crucified upon the cross.
Will this film highlight Jesus decent into hades?

"Just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale (sea monster),
so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart (interior) of the earth (Mt 12:40, Eph4:9).

This verse describes Jesus decent into Sheol (O.T.) where it was believed to be a subterranean place of the dead before His time here on earth.
We also know Jesus was not left there but was resurrected by His Father (Eph 4:10).

"For thou will not abandon my soul to Sheol;
nether will thou allow Thy Holy One to see corruption (decay) Psalm 16:10).

I believe that Abrahams bosom (Lk 16:22) or paradise (Lk 23:43) was a holding place for the O.T. saints before the cross.
As a matter of fact, Scripture indicates that those in Abrahams Bosom (paradise) compartment of hades were resurrected
when Jesus was raised ( Mt 27:52-53, Eph 4:8).

The reason I said all this is because I hope Mel Gipson's passion sequel will show all the above and more (appearing to Mary and the disciples and His accent back to heaven) in the new movie.
