The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

Saw the final part of this last night.

I kind of enjoyed it and kind of didn't at the same time? :) I enjoyed watching it, but it was a bit of an anti-climactic ending really, and there were a lot of "But why didn't they..." questions.

I also felt a lot of the characters changed quite a lot from Part 1 - strange given that it was all one book!

Definitely worth watching if you've watched the rest, though.

Do you mean one book series? It was 3 books, though there were 4 movies.

I THINK he means that part 1 and 2 (the third and fourth) movies were all contained in the third book.

Monk...I agreed with you. I wanted the last movie to be as good as the first, but it was somewhat lacking. I think that Jennifer Lawrence just didn't show the same passion that she did in the first movie...somewhat lackluster. I know....she was supposed to be emotionally detached, but she took it a bit far...IMO. The ending...though it was nice to have everything wrapped up all nice and neat, I would have been ok without some of it.

Oh, thanks for clarifying....yeah, I enjoyed it, but there was something lacking that I couldn't put my finger on and I think you have stated it. Also, Prim's death was somewhat anti-climactic and it's almost like it didn't even happen....I enjoyed it but I thought the last two were much better. Part 1 was pretty good, but didn't capture much of the important stuff like the hoover crafts, the Avox's role, etc....and they definitely didn't capture the complex nature of the relationship between Katniss and her mother.

I definitely liked the 2nd and 3rd movies the best.

The movies are never as good as the books.....

The internal monologue is especially crucial in this series, and it's hard to convey that without cheesy voice-overs.

Shawshank Redemption coveyed the book by Stephen King perfectly in every way. That's probably the best book-to-screen adaptation that I can think of off the top of my head.

The book, The Kite Runner was also fantastic but the movie didn't convey the VERY complex nature of the relationship between the young boy Amir and his father. But....unless a movie is going to be four hours long, it's hard to do.
