How does that work? I mean if you want a real Coke that's fine but what if you want a Pepsi or a 7up or something else, what do you say?

They ask what you want and you say, "A Coke" and if they don't have Coke they'll say, "Is Pepsi ok?" But I never drink Coke any more so it never happens any more. :)

So what do you drink ?

In Cleveland it was "pop", In upstate NY it was "soda", In South TX it was "soda water".

Water 99.9% of the time. An occasional diet caffeine free drink at home. Ate out yesterday and had my first glass of tea in over 3 months.

Ditto! - And I usually take my own bottle of water - The servers always put too much ice in the glass - Occasionally, I'll get a Lemonade when we eat out.

It's Coke, as Fuego noted, but only a minority of people say that (I'm in that minority). Growing up, it used to be "would you like a soft drink?" I guess no one says that any more.

I never say pop and rarely soda. Now I usually ask for it by name. Coke, Pepsi, Root beer, Dr Pepper.
