    You made me flashback to a poem we learned in grade school.

    Trees

    Trees are the kindest things I know
    They do no harm, they simply grow
    And spread a shade for sleepy cows
    And gather birds among their boughs.
    Trees give us fruit in leaves above,
    And wood to make our houses of.
    Leaves to burn on Hallowee'en,
    And in the Spring new buds of green.
    Trees are the kindest things I know.

    The tree was a thousand years old when the Spaniards first arrived in the region. It probably looked about the same too.

    TREES
    by: Joyce Kilmer (1886-1918)

    I think that I shall never see
    A poem lovely as a tree.
    *
    A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
    Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
    *
    A tree that looks at God all day,
    And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
    *
    A tree that may in Summer wear
    A nest of robins in her hair;
    *
    Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
    Who intimately lives with rain.
    *
    Poems are made by fools like me,
    But only God can make a tree.
