    Nope. That looks more like a film projector. This had a long 'nose' on it.

    Found it. Pretty much looked like this. But if I remember correctly, the film kinda rolled up and was inserted right above the back of that 'nose' and went a frame at a time. But I could be mistaken about that part. But this is what I remember it looking like.

    A film strip projector. I remember some film strips had a record that was played with them. There was a narrative that went along with the film strip. During the narrative there would be a little bong or bell sound which signaled to advance the to the next frame. It was deemed a special treat to be chosen to be the one entrusted to run the projector and advance the film for the class.

    I remember the film strips and projectors.

    All these things bring back the memories. I remember the mimeograph smell. Our copies were sometimes a bit smudgy looking and hard to read.

    I didn't know until recently that Thomas Edison held the patent on it.
