    Rose records in Chicago was a large record store. I only went there once when I was probably still in grade school. When my cousins visited us each year from Iowa, my uncle would make the 90 minute extra drive into Chicago to Rose records. He used to call square dances and it was one of the few places he could buy records for it. It was the only place I had ever known that would let serious buyers listen to records to preview them before buying.

    For me this is cool. I was looking for info on old Rose records in Chicago and came across a movie bill for a specific movie and drive-in theater that my parents took us to one summer.

    My sis worked her way through college at a store that sold pianos, organs, sheet music and records. They had a couple of little booths you could take a record into and listen to it.
