Thread: What would you have done?

    What would you have done?

I'm facebook friends with a lot of members here and two of our members recently made what I thought were funny posts. I won't reveal their identities (they can if they'd like to) but I'm curious how you all would've handled those situations.

The first real scenario was when one of them stepped on a toothpick in a hotel room and it lodged in their toe. What would you have done?

    A. Call security
    B. Remove the toothpick and sterilize your toe
    C. Request a cab and rush to the nearest emergency room
    D. Something else - explain

The second situation was when another member was in a coffee house and A Holly Jolly Christmas by Burl Ives came on four times in 30 minutes. What would you have done?

    A. Complain to the management
    B. Put in ear plugs
    C. Abruptly leave
    D. Something else - explain

    1. I would have removed the toothpick. Never would have given it a second thought.

    2. I would have commented if I had been in there with somebody, and done nothing. I wouldn't have given that a second thought either. :)

No, it was like SEVEN times in 30 minutes! Ack! I HATE that song. It was in a Starbucks, and their music is piped in, complaining would do no good.

    1. Remove the toothpick - Sterilize the toe.

    2. Never go to Starbucks, but if it had been Panera or some other restaurant, I probably would have started singing along at the top of my voice.

LOL...OK, as he posted, Bookie was scenario #2 and he did run out of Starbuck's probably still holding his hands over his ears.

In the first situation, this is what happened:

I tried to post that pic last night (at your request) but it wouldn't upload so I knew it wasn't God's will

I clarified on my page.. I didn't really call security, I called front desk and they sent security. He was a medic in the army.

He looked a little scary (look at those eyes)

The toothpick went into my toe about one inch deep. I tugged on it and pulled on it for about 5min. but it was too painful, so I let the Nazi prison guard pull it out for me lol jk

It was swollen for a few days and very sore, but it's fine now.

Kyrstain im going to get you

I love how his other hand is in his pocket....like, "no biggie...I'll pose for a pic, then pull the toothpick out." so....did he think you were crazy for taking a picture?
