    Question about Gout

So it appears I have gout in my left foot big toe. I'm taking something called Goutrin Organika | Products | Goutrin but because it affects the way I taste food (I have no idea why), I only take it during flare-ups... but this time it's not really helping, where in the past (I've had about 4 flare-ups in the last couple years), it's only taken a day or two to get the pain under control.

And that's my question... anyone else have any experience with gout pain and what do you do to deal with it. It's extremely painful and even just brushing across the toe lightly is very painful.

Ummm ... yaaaa .... I don't think that's the problem, but we eat a lot of beef because we butcher our own steers... Red meat is supposed to contribute to it.

    Thanks for the tip.

Thank you! So apparently, fructose is more of a trigger than red meat. Interesting. I will do some research.... Thing is, I've been off all sugar since the beginning of Jan, except possibly eating more fruit than I normally do, but not excessive amounts... maybe a couple pieces a day.

This attack started to come on, I started back on the Goutrin and it was calming... then I went on a 3 day fast (been doing lots of fasting since the beginning of the year) and by the time I finished my 3 days, I could feel the gout getting sore again... started back on the Goutrin, but it's not calming it down at all. I'm putting CBD oil on it... not helping... I Could take NSAIDs but they're extremely toxic for me... but might actually have to take some to go to bed tonight. The pain is severe. Like a really bad hot toothache, except in my big toe!

    Hmmmmm ........... thinking...............

This week, I've had some baking around and I loosened off on the sugar restriction. Been having 1-2 pieces of home baked sweets a day this past week. I'll give them up and see what happens. I'll also quit the fruit.
