    I just see a Norwegian word then I try to figure out what the American mind will do to it, but it's not that interesting.

    I got it.... I burn extra calories with fartleks on the stationary cycle AND after a bowl of chili... ones not necessarily inclusive with the other....

    The bowl of chili won't make the fartlek any faster on a stationary bike. You need to find a real bike and go outside for that.
