Potassium iodide (pill form) is good, or nascient iodine in liquid form. It's a critical supplement most people don't even consider taking.

    Thanks, Catchy!

In another thread, you mentioned you have severe mercury poisoning... Do you know how you got that way?

    That's one possibility...

I'm curious because I had my silver fillings all replaced. BUT I just got a local dentist to do it about 15 yrs ago and I'm pretty sure he didn't use any special protocols... he just drilled em out and replaced them.

I've never had mercury levels checked. I know my health steadily improved after having them replaced, but I'm wondering if I need to do something about it anyways.

I've done lots of general detoxing but not a heavy metal detox.

Take it from someone who has mercury poisoning....get a heavy metal analysis. I had a tiny filling removed and safety measures were taken, and I took things to chelate any mercury out of my system, and I still have huge problems, unfortunately. To be certain, I did have mercury in my body FROM the mercury, and even the most intense mercury protocols can take many months and even years to get it to where it's not impacting you. Not saying that will be the case for either of us, but it's just something that can occur in some people.

I also had several mercury fillings years ago removed, like you, just through a regular dentist. I also did heavy metal removal stuff back then, but things are much more advanced now with understanding on how to detox mercury, especially with the importance of adding glutathione (which I didn't use years ago when I had my first few removed).

Thank you. I'll start looking into it.

I pray you are completely healed and restored.

I've heard that if they mercury fillings are intact and not causing issues you should leave them alone. Is that not the case?

I thought they continue to leach.

I had a real mouthful. Especially after each pregnancy, I'd get 2,3,4 new fillings. Pregnancy was really hard on my teeth. And I could just feel myself deteriorate over the years. I had friends who went to to someone who specialized in replacing fillings... I couldn't afford it at the time. so... I just used a local dentist when we got onto a good dental plan. I believe my health improved a great deal afterward. But like I said above, I'm thinking I should get my heavy metals tested.

It's a scientific fact that toxic mercury vapor is continually being released from amalgam fillings. 80% of it enters the body and accumulates in it. This accumulation occurs because overtime the body loses its effectiveness at removing mercury and is less and less effective at doing so. If mercury is stored in your body it also makes it a hazardous waste container. So don't be fooled by the ADA and those who support its position on mercury amalgam fillings. Mercury is continuously released from amalgam fillings and that alone makes them a health hazard. You shouldn't be the same house with mercury vapor, let alone having it being released from your fillings.

Over the years, all my amalgam fillings have been replaced by crowns. I have a couple new fillings with the newer material. But I guess even with removing those large fillings, I probably got an unhealthy dose of mercury.

Yeah....anyone who has ever had amalgam fillings should.

Thing is AJ, the mercury tends to concentrate in your intestinal tract with candida, which could be part of the problems you've had. I know it's been a part of my issues. Not saying for certain this is the case, but it's something to consider. Also, find someone knowledgeable about detoxing mercury if your numbers are high, or PM me and I'll tell you what I've been doing. You might have to be very, very, careful before starting any sort of chelation program, especially if you have digestive issues like you do. Again, we can keep in contact if you are interested.
