Thread: Do you get tetanus shots?

My annual physical is coming up next week and last year my doctor reminded me that I'm overdue for a tetanus shot. I passed on it last year but I know he's going to ask me again this year and I'm not sure whether to do it or not.

So, do you guys keep up to date with your booster shots? Care to share why or why not?

We do take a tetanus shot when we go to Kenya, but staying at home it has never been an issue. It's been three years for me.

I do. I'm forever out in the yard, and I tend to get cuts and scrapes frequently. I'd rather not get lock jaw.

I get my tetanus shot whenever it's due because lock-jaw doesn't seem like a lot of fun to me.

Oh, fun fact? If you have your tetanus shot and you happen to step on a rusty nail, you get another tetanus shot. Drs. don't play. That tells me to take that particular shot seriously.

I cant recall the last time I had a tetanus shot, must be more than 30 years

I keep my immunizations up to date, so yes.

No flu, shingles, pneumonia or tetanus shots for me.

Today is my appointment, still undecided. Any more last minute comments?
