Patio Cover
So, after taking down my shade tree last year, because it was dying due to drought and probably the concrete (lime poison) it was time to do a Patio cover to the back side of my home. I have always wanted a patio cover, but my ex, well he never wanted one. I enjoy sitting under a patio cover, reading, praying, have that much needed quiet time.
So with the help of a co-worker and my two sons, it was made a reality over the previous weekend. So blessed to have this now. As last summer, my youngest sons room and my room would literally bake from the sun. You couldn't walk two steps into room, without feeling the heat from the wall of his bedroom.
So here is the pictures (as requested ) of my cover. I do have some small things left to do. But mostly it's done. Need shingles, a light reconnected and the flashing to cover the wiring for my AC unit.
What do you think? Good, bad, need work?

That's awesome Redeemed! I had one built a few years ago too and its been wonderful, that area had hot full sun most of the day but with the cover I now have a relaxing haven to enjoy my yard.

Krys, that is a memory plant in honor of my dog Tasha, who we recently had to put to sleep. A co-worker purchased it for me that same weekend and brought it to me on Monday. The Rose is called Pretty Lady. My co-worker knew that I called Tasha my pretty girl. So it's fitting that "she" has a place in my backyard. It has a heavenly smell after it blooms. I was blessed to receive one full bloom from it so far. Can't wait for it to "grow up" a bit more and be able to smell it more often.

Roses just may be my favorite flower but I get a little bummed if they don't smell...how wonderful that the Pretty Lady is not only beautiful but fragrant too. :)
