Woman Happily Lives In 90 Sq Ft Manhattan Apartment

-When you rent an apartment in New York, it's all about location - and Felice Cohen's 90 sq ft apartment is in the midst of it all. Central Park, Lincoln Center, and restaurants galore are all within walking distance of Felice's apartment building. So, with such a great location at only $700 a month, you have to give up something...right?

Welcome to Felice's 90 sq ft Upper West Side home! Not much larger than a child's bedroom, she manages to fit her entire life into the micro-studio. How can that be? Well, fortunately Felice just so happens to be a professional organizer...and organization is exactly what you need for a tiny-living lifestyle!

Felice utilizes every inch of her 12 x 7 ft space...

We had a thread a while back about a show called Tiny House Nation:

I think this lady would qualify for tiny space living.

It helps to be 5' and 100 pounds with that.

I was surprised it had a bathroom and shower.

It obviously works for her, but I'm 5'9" - so I need more arm and leg room - Plus, I don't like being in an elevator for too long, so I'd have an excruciating anxiety attack after about 30 minutes in her place.

And let's not even talk about that "loft" bedroom - I can see myself waking up in the middle of the night thinking I was buried alive - YIKES!

As I mentioned in the Tiny House Thread, if I was single, I'd go tiny, but no smaller than about 500 S.F. - Anything less, and it would feel too clastraphobic to me.

I could do it, except for the bed. I think I'd try to come up with a Murphy bed that folds up during the day.

it's basically living in your bedroom.. I've done that. (very small apartment)

The bed wouldn't fly with me either. I KNOW I'd bang my head.

Could put some adhesive rubber on the ceiling, I've got some on a low beam in my garage and it works well, I never hurt my head from walking into it. Less than an inch is sufficient.

When my parents were students in Illinois in the seventies we lived in a 2 bedroom apartment that was about 400 sqft. The rooms were tiny but it didnt seem that way to me, being a small child. I have an office room that is about the size of the woman's apartment minus the bathroom and it feels like there is room for me and then not much more.
