    I think it's some kind of copyright mark on it that identifies it as your personal material and cannot be easily cropped out. I read an article online recently. It should basically go right through the center of your piece. Even if you just did it on your own computer with a photo editing program before publicly posting. Otherwise, it can be snagged and used by anyone.

    Lovely painting. What mediums did you use?

    I always found a trip to the art supply store motivating. I'd encourage you to just draw or paint for fun a little every day or so. Not to work on necessarily on a finished piece, but just to go through the exercise, to start the creative processes and start the juices flowing.
