Quilting anyone?
Here is my latest "masterpiece". This will be for a dear friend of mine. Just finally finished making pinwheels. Going to piece the rows together this weekend and hopefully get it off to the LAQ (long arm quilter) in the next week or so. Still have a pale blue border to put around it but at least the hard part is done. At least, I hope so.

This is still a work in progress but I was able to get most of it pieced together. The black fabric, is just a piece of fleece that I have used as a "design wall". Batting works MUCH better. I will change it out later. But for now, it "worked", well sort of.
But I do enjoy this quilt, simple easy, not alot of fabric, but so pretty. I am sure I will make a few more like this, but obviously different colors.

I have a square that my Grandmother started of random velvet pieces.
Out of curiosity....the inner part of your pinwheel quilt is mostly done in pastels...were you going for a hidden design?

Lista, as for the pinwheel, I wanted the colors to fan out, so to speak. And then become darker at the edge. So it was deliberate placement for the pinwheel quilt. I found it more pleasing to the eye. The outer two rows are darker but still in the same fabric family or fabric line. I do need to finish putting the binding on that quilt so it should be done before the end of this month.
