Your collection and how quickly and amazingly it came together by the Lord giving you your heart desires when you serve Him. This reminds me of my classic bikes shop and collection.

I made that pic guard by hand. I had an old stereo that had a clear cover over the record player and cut the guard out of that. Using mainly a power drill using a attachment saws & plainer bits & drill bits for the holes and such. I had a calendar of the Passion of the Christ film pictures on it, so cut that out and place it under the clear cover guard. I did some worship events in a church I attended and played my Kramer then.

Many factors point toward a smooth... - South Bend Tribune | Facebook

I got to meet and shook hands with Pete Buttigieg when I lived at Millers Vet. It was about a month or so before he came with his he was gay statement. Another Vet who was at Millers asked me if I want to go to church with him one Sunday morning. I said well sure. He took me to a Pentecostal Black church. He didn't know I was Pentecostal. But when the worship started and he seen me raise my hands and start singing. I think the Holy Ghost hit him and he knew God had him do this. Boy was the Spirit moving in there, Praise Jesus. Many Saints welcomed me. The Pastor had a guest speaker that day and it was Pete. At the end of the service I got to met up with Pete. He had just gotten back from overseas duty. Had I known his secret the talk would have went there a bit.

Chapter 8 ~ In the valley of the unconcerned

The part of that sermon he talked about the reasons. Mine, I was very depressed, hopelessness, relationship problems (I had had many and a recent one as well.) Financial hardship, self hatred, loneliness, ashamed of myself, choices I'd made that didn't help and caused a lot of my grief. Didn't feel I was doing much at all to serve God and help witness to build His Kingdom. I couldn't take the fight anymore from the fiery darts. Letting slight sin back in my life, not staying prayed up as good as I should have, I was still meeting with the Lord in morning prayer & doing my devotion readings & scripture that went with that. The Lakeland Outpouring which I took my Pastor of the Church I was attending with me to. The results of what happened caused some fall out in that Church. I quit going, searched for another Church to attend. The money ran out before that could happen.

I wasn't where I was and when I was I was constantly bombarded by the enemy. I'd cast them thoughts out and crucified them and bring them into obedience to Christ and His Word. Trusting in the Lord I held that deep in my heart. Believe me I prayed hard on it when them thoughts were wresting with me, I was literally crying out to Lord for deliverance. My Bi-Polar sister (who never took her meds right, and she was in the crazy realm of it then) kept hounding me to get out. Then it overwhelmed me and I made the attempt. From all the insulin I put in my body I should have died flat out. Well for a moment I did until they zapped my chest to get my heart back beating. But the LORD wasn't having it. But He got me the help I needed. As I said pages back I got very lukewarm for quite awhile up until these last few weeks.

I'm sure the question of how could a man who claims to be a Born-Again Christian ever go there? Or even maybe he thinks he's Born-Again. Well, I know I am. I know I raised the temperature of that cleansing fire Paul talked about going through, a few more degrees, for sure. During my conversion the Holy Spirit took me back in time like a review in my life's events and such. Like when I first felt His presence upon me, I was 6 years old. Being raised up in the Methodist Church, I confessed Christ my Savior at 13 and it didn't stick. I prayed again what was wrote in that Bible they give you in Basic Training in January of 1981 on my bunk in Ft. Sill OK. It was the time of Jimmy Carter days and the hostage's. I figured I would be heading in that direction. Then on Jan 20th, Ronald Regan took office and they were released. I got orders for Germany after basic. Well again that didn't stick either. Nor none of them times did I get that Peace that passes understanding come upon me. Nor did I know what to do or how to do it, to walk the walk. (See that thorns, stones & good soil thing Jesus talked about seed idea happening here, yup its true.)

Of what I had read of the Bible which wasn't much, I didn't get much out of it but commonsense stuff. Heard many sermons the Bible school stories. Didn't know I had to saved until my first wife told me. I was still confused. When you got a certain age in the Methodist Church that my Mom always took us to. They give you a Bible with your name on it. I didn't read very much of it though. I took it with me when I ran away from home when I was 16. I didn't take with me to Germany, Mom read it the whole time I was over there she told me. (A Mom thing.) She got saved in a Wesley United Methodist Church. She didn't tell me about that experience until after I was out of the Army. I know she always told us kids to get right with the Lord during the wild years we had. But nothing about getting saved, guess she just left that up to the Hound of Heaven to get us in that position. But she said a Peace just came over her of the Lord presence after she confessed Him her Lord & Savior and King. She never turned back after that day. Think I was about 12 or so when the lean over the chair rear end wiping's where done.

She was raised in Arkansas, she was one of six girls and she had 2 brothers. They lived in a big tent until she was 15 until her Dad got a house built. It was all logged out of woods lumber he used and done old school. He was a share cropper, carpenter and brick & stonemason. Yeah, my Momma picked cotton, they were really poor. They lived in the Delta around St. James, dealt with floods quite a few times she said.

(More to come - Bit tired.)
