How not to do a eulogy

*I moved the off topic posts out of the Tim LaHaye prayer thread Bookie started...

He's like 90... he should go home already.

Christians shouldn't get all bent out of shape when an old guy like this leaves the planet.

At 90, it's not like it is a surprise or anything.

Yeah, I'll pray the the Lord opens the eyes of the family that Christians are not a people of sorrow as it is for those without the Lord.

At least he knew what is up with catholicism, so he deserves kudos for warning Christians about that false religion.

I'll pray that, maybe, God will open your eyes and give you some social skills.

Yes, we must all become seeker sensitive and speak very little truth.

Hey, the guys an old fart... let him go home already!

We should be celebrating, and not be sad like those that fear death.

I have no fear or respect for death like others do apparently.
I laugh at death just like the Lord Jesus does because He has conquered death.

Those that know who they are in the Lord have no fear of death, and consequently do not talk as though death is something to be afraid of or to worry about because it's not. Jesus has defeated death!

Besides, this is just physical death we are talking about here which just means this guy is going to be moving from the physical realm to the spiritual realm... and later he'll get his resurrected body and come back with the Lord to reign with Him during the 1000 year rule of Jesus on earth.

death is no big deal... it's appointed unto each of us to leave this natural world (die physically), so there's no way out of this passage.

Farm Truck, this thread is not about what people think about death.

I don't care who one is speaking of, calling someone an "old fart" is rude and juvenile.

Sorry, I should post that in the humor section.

Is there any humor here, or does everyone think things they disagree with as being a personal attack???

I see others doing this amongst themselves so apparently so.

You were talking about a man who is dying, in the context of his dying. That doesnt qualify as humorous according to any definition known to mankind.
