We thought it was far too early for dh to be sent home but they said everything had gone "exceptionally well" (their words) and thought it was safe. So here we are. Brain surgery on Wednesday, home on Saturday. Not bad. We are so thankful to the Lord for seeing us through and keeping us in His peace and to the doctors for their good work! I'm glad I won't have to go back and forth to Oslo (our capital city) in the days to come. I had enough of that in January/February when dh was admitted for more than a month before he was sent to the local hospital for another two months.
Glory to God! Enjoy your family time!

That's great, peace! It's nice to have family gather around during the tough times.

And I'm in agreement for the cleaning fairy! Possibly a cook, too???

Alas, the cleaning fairy had my shoes on .... man, it was SO dirty, cleaning having been neglected when I was at the hospital with dh and then feeling too tired for quite some time. But today the sun is out and things do not seem so bleak. We have quite a big house and garden and we're talking about selling and finding an appartment, but my, my -- the prices! Appartments are much more costly than houses, but of course they come with a lot of priviliges, like a janitor etc. We'll see. No rush. Dh has some nasty side effects from the medication but he has chosen to follow the doctors' advice and we hope they may remove the medicines soon.

Unless you insist on an apartment the same size as your house, I think you will be fine, Irene.

Our house is 198m2, and it will pay for a 60m2 apartment in our neck of the woods We're looking for approx 100 m2 (3 bedrooms since I need an office)

Conversions given above for those not on the metric system.

Peace, won't you miss having a garden and all your beautiful birdhouses?
