Fallish over here, too. My flower pots and window boxes are not feeling well. Too much rain all through the summer. So today I started to empty some of them to prepare them for some nice heather. But I wasn't able to do too much because I had a church board meeting to prepare. I'm the church secretary and we'll have the district overseer visiting today. Meeting here at our home.

It's not fallish here, lol! Still real hot. After all, this is Florida! We really dodged a bullet with storm "Erica!" We weren't able to get hurricane coverage in our insurance on our mobile home yet, because of something to do with the electric panel. We can't figure out the rationale for that. We could get fire insurance, but not hurricane. We're getting estimates on having the electric panel replaced so that we can get the hurricane/wind coverage. Also, because if the insurance companies don't like it, maybe we'd be better off with something else!
Speaking of our mobile home, we moved in on Friday. In less than two weeks we found, purchased and moved in. A crazy busy time! But we are really enjoying it! I've still got a LOT of stuff unpack and put away. I can't figure out how we fit all this stuff in the fifth wheel! And we weren't even overweight in it! Oh, well, it will eventually all get done.

Did you find someone to purchase the truck and the house?

Here is hoping that you will find that buyer and he or she will decide to take it.
As soon as you get it situated...or even before, we want pics. You know during and after???
Ps...prayer chat in one hour in the prayer room.

Too late to do before and after! Well, except for all the stuff still in the Florida room and guest room, so you'll have to just put up with after pics.
We thought we had the fifth wheel sold, but the buyer's financing fell through. Maybe we need to specify cash buyer!

So how's everyone's Labor Day weekend been?
Mine has been busy. Sat. DD & I went shopping & had lunch together. It had been so long since we got to visit. Then I went to their house to watch the game - which sadly Nebraska lost in the last second. Sun. was church and boating. We noticed the weather changing just in time to get the boat put away and get back into town before the rain, wind & hail came. Today I did more shopping (lots of sales) and had dinner with DS & family.
I have so many new Christian book to read but no time to read them. Also have been "trying" to crochet Christmas stockings, but I'm just not happy with them. They all seem to have a "twist" to them. I might try one more time & stop where I think it gets off at & take it to my friend that crochets for advice. I don't know what I will do with the ones I don't like.
Well, I'm off to bed. I'm plum worn out. Night, night, sweet dreams every one.

Cats, I understand about the stockings. I just ripped out about two weeks work on an afghan. It was multi color stripes. It was too big and dense. So I started over smaller with a much bigger hook. I am now using all the little balls I ripped out and will have about a gazillion ends to weave in. I prefer not to rip as I don't like excess wear on the yarn, however this is for me, so it will be fine.
Are you crocheting in the round or joining the rows together? Sometimes too much tension can distort an item. I realized my rows were getting shorter on the second ghan and had to rip a bit on it!

I would not be much help with the crochet. I can do it and have done lots in the past but it seems that knitting is easier for me somehow with fibro and arthritis in my thumbs. I like to do both and will do more crochet I think this winter to get into the swing of that. It seems that I have been in the doldrums on my projects lately. It is this weather I think.
We will be having prayer chat here in about 15 minutes people..on the hour. 6p,8c,9e. Do come i fyou can.

My sis is a knitter. I know how to knit and purl, but it stressful for me. After I finish this afghan, I'm going to put the yarn away for a while I think. I want to get back to cross stitch and also crochet some doilies.

I just bought this cross stitch pattern. https://www.etsy.com/listing/2354361...f=sr_gallery_5
I haven't touched my cross stitch stuff in years. And now that it's getting dark earlier I'm not outside as much in the evenings.
