Our homeschool co-op hybrid school requires cursive. I write in cursive on the board and see if students can read it. Even though they are learning cursive, not everyone can fluently read it. If you consider that many of our founding documents are written in cursive that may tell you why cursive isn't being taught any longer.

I'm working part-time in Transportation at Broken Arrow Public Schools, Monday-Friday. Seeing how the kids dress, I'm not surprised by much these days. The girls wear shorts so short you can almost see their butt cheeks. It's all so disconcerting.

It is sad. From a young age these girls are being taught to glory in their bodies, and not be modest. If a girl dresses modestly, she is usually shamed by her peers. I had a friend in high school who was like that. Her parents were overly strict, in my teenage opinion at the time, but she obeyed her parents -- another rare quality. We did have a dress code in high school, too, as it was a Lutheran high school.
