PM me that link. I couldn't find anything on me.

Ok...you have to remember to check every state that you ever lived in.

It's legit (at least in VA) - I informed a couple of relatives of the link, and they were able to claim their "lost money" - Our state posts this information about twice a year...

My late mother's name popped up too, but they are asking for some verification information that we threw away a long time ago (after she passed).

The site indicates that it's only up to $100, so it's not worth it, to try to track down her old account numbers, etc.

Wouldn't the onus be on them to do that search especially in light that it's been already verified to be in her name? I would just submit her death certificate and Social Security number and tell them that her personal records were disposed of years ago.

I tried it, Krys, but they insisted on verifying her Electric or Gas bill account number (can't remember which one it was) - I think she was owed her deposit back - I just said, "Forget it!"

Yeah, I'm owed $10 so not enough to mess with. And I'm certainly not going to give them the info they probably want for $10.

It's been a while, never hurts to check.

I saw about $100 left at Henry Ford Hospital by my grandmother who passed in 2006. I put in the claim. Let's see what happens. If I receive anything, I may split it 50/50 with my millionaire uncle. lol
